Complete Task 1 and 2 today (do not worry about Task 3 and 4 today).  Visit the first two sites and complete the questions on the worksheet.

Assignment - EMS - Thursday May 29

Fact Finding Assignment - Mass Media and Its Influence

In the book, on page 17, it is argued that the mass media is big business: both profit wise and the way they control what we see and how we see it.

Look in both the book (page 17-18, Media Facts) and on the internet (using Google or another search engine) to find the answers to the questions on the sheet.

Obviously, we are looking at how things have changed over the past 20 years - since the book was published.  Our concluding sentence (final thought) will be that today the media is even bigger, more powerful and all reaching than ever.

Once finished, read pages 44-46 as a preview for tomorrow.

Then, you can have some free time on the computer or work on some other work.

Remember, we are back in the library tomorrow.
