For anyone preparing for their speech this week (which is everyone I teach)

As we said, everyone gets nervous preparing to speak in front of others—it's part of being human:)

However, as you continue down the 'road of life' it will hopefully get easier. Unfortunately, it's a fact of life that you will be called to speak in front of others in one time or another.  Let's face the fear now:)  Each time it gets a little bit easier.

Here is a helpful article about helping prepare yourself for public speaking.

Semester 2 in the House

Welcome to Semester 2 and to D'Angela's Blog.  On this blog, you will find many useful links along the sides of it.  These include etexts of the the novels, plays and stories we will be reading as well as helpful hints—including essay writing guides, research reminders and works cited information.

Each day (I try my best)  I will post what we did in class, what is for homework and a 'heads up' of any upcoming due dates.

This will be useful if:

1.  You are away and wonder what we did
2.  Get home from school and forgot what we did and what you have to do
3.  If you forget your textbooks at school and need to get the work done (use the etexts)

Occasionally I post homework hints as well.

We will also be using the 'Remind App' to communicate as well.

Look at the blog numbers—30,000 people can't be wrong!  Use the blog—it is there for you.
